                                    Claiming a New Incident

                                          o         You enter the city/state and type of incident in the chat window.  Example W/F North Attleboro MA.  The first 
                                           Dispatcher to have their chat post is the control operator for that incident.  The first is the lowest in the chat list. 
                                           Read bottom upwards.

       Entering a New Incident

o        To add an alert, click on 'New Incident' from the 'Dispatch' drop-down menu. This will open the alert form in the center panel. Then simply fill in the blanks by using the pull down menu choices and manually typing in the remaining information for the alert. Once you have entered all of the needed information


 

·        Updating Incidents

o        You can update your alert with additional information as the incident progresses by clicking on the 'List Incidents' link from the 'Dispatchers' drop-down menu. Once you click that link, your alerts that you have entered will be shown in the center panel. Click the Update link to open the alert and make your changes. When you're done, click the 'Insert Record' button to send the alert. 

 

·        Claiming Pages (Non-Repage)

o       From now on we are going to get away from the D/G system and use the CAD for direct entry

o       Post a message in the CAD chat claiming the page. Most smart phones can handle this

o       Enter the message in to the system like a new alert. DO NOT check the ‘Check for Confirmed Incident.’ and ‘Add the Record’. This will place the
incident in the ‘Queue’ and also add it to the Incident alert box in RED.

o       Click on the ‘List Queue’ from the drop down where you enter a new
incident and you will see a list of alerts you have in the ‘Queue’ Click on the ‘Edit’ pencil and the alert will open. Make any adjustments you want.
Send the alert to the system by checking the ‘Check for Confirmed
Incident’.
 

·        Pages requesting Re-Page

o       Please USE the D/G system for this ONLY

o       From now on we are going to get away from the D/G system and use the CAD for direct entry

o       Post a message in the CAD chat claiming the re-page. Most smart phones can handle this

o       Enter the message in to the system like a new alert. DO NOT check the ‘Check for Confirmed Incident.’ and ‘Add the Record’. This will place the
incident in the ‘Queue’ and also add it to the Incident alert box in RED.

o       Click on the ‘List Queue’ from the drop down where you enter a new

o       Please ONLY send confirmed incident we get from our affiliates or you can monitor via on line scanner feeds.

o        If you are not getting the affiliate incidents contact NEFN14 direct to be added

o       Do NOT send incidents from other Systems or Social Media

o       Please ONLY send incident that you hear direct or get from
another NEFN member

o       Do NOT send incidents from other Systems or Social Media R

o       Remember to include the member requesting a re-page in the Co-Credit drop down list. If they are not listed you may enter them in the context of the message
